All installed ports:

> port installed

Cleaning up of macports. This erases all temporary files in that are being generated during a build of an application

> sudo port clean --all installed

Removing older versions (inactive ones) of installed ports. This is accomplished by this command:

> sudo port -f uninstall inactive

Remove an installed port (--follow-dependencies removes also the dependencies of <port_name> which are no longer being used by other ports) :

> sudo port uninstall --follow-dependencies <port_name>

Reclaim space

> sudo port reclaim
